The Town of Superior has partnered with nonprofit arts organization Street Wise Arts to host the inaugural Superior Mural Festival on Sunday, Oct. 4, in Downtown Superior. The event runs from 1 to 4 p.m. in conjunction with the town's Fall Market at 2250 Main St.

Fourteen artists will paint live on exterior walls across downtown, creating murals focused on the theme of nature and regrowth. Visitors can observe the artists, join guided or self-guided mural walking tours, and view artist exhibits. Hands-on artmaking using repurposed and found materials will be hosted in the studio on the first floor of the Superior Civic Space.

Live musical performances during the afternoon will feature Drunken Hearts along with Carlos and the Crew. The concurrent Fall Market includes local business vendors, food, and drink concessions.

Mayor Mark Lacis outlined the event in the town's municipal newsletter, describing public art as an element to establish local character and draw visitors to the evolving downtown core. The town also announced an upcoming schedule of community programming, including the Monster Mash family event on Oct. 24 and the annual State of Superior address on Oct. 28.
