Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico sets October fall festival in Las Cruces

The Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico will host its annual Fall Into Community festival on Saturday, Oct. 17, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at its headquarters located at 2640 El Paseo Road in Las Cruces.

The regional gathering features live music by Proud Pete, seasonal games, and local food vendors including Yalla Falafel. Organizers have also scheduled both an in-person live auction and an online silent auction. In addition to the public festivities, the foundation will present the Gerald Deabel Foundation’s Volunteer of the Year Award to recognize local service contributions.

The event highlights the foundation's philanthropic activity throughout southern New Mexico. In 2025, the organization distributed more than $2 million in nonprofit grants, awarded scholarships to 411 students, and directed more than $1.2 million to regional disaster relief efforts following area fires and floods. Tickets, volunteer signups, and business sponsorship opportunities are open to the public through the organization's website.
