The Utah State University Utah Women & Leadership Project released its 2026 Companies Championing Women report, recognizing 145 employers across the state for workplace policies that support female employees. The initiative, now overseen by City Journals in partnership with the UWLP and Sego Leadership, evaluates self-reported employer data covering scheduling flexibility, parental leave, pay equity, child care, and professional development.
Nine employers based in Summit County were included in the 2026 cohort, making up 6.2% of the recognized organizations statewide—the third-largest county share behind Salt Lake and Utah counties. The local entities represent various sectors, including hospitality, recreation, real estate, healthcare, non-profit services, and government. Recognized Summit County organizations include Alpine Distilling, Black Diamond Gymnastics and Sports Center, Maven, Momentous, Park City Lodging, PC Tots, Peace House, People’s Health Clinic, and the Summit County government.
Across all 145 recognized organizations statewide, workplace flexibility emerged as a primary trend: approximately 88% offer flexible work hours, 85.5% provide remote work options, and 72.4% offer quality part-time positions. Additionally, 64% reported providing paid maternity leave, while 53.8% offer paid paternity leave. The listings are based on completed application surveys rather than external audits.
